I was initially a little hesitant to spend $40 on a coffee mug. IMO, it seemed a little expensive. Simply to keep my coffee hot while working from home, I wanted a thermal mug. There are countless other brands and mugs available that would work, but either they weren’t really leak-proof or they couldn’t keep the beverage hot for a long time.
Just a ton of little things, none of which matched my search criteria. In addition, the reviews for them were inconsistent. I decided to take the risk and try this mug to see if it was worth the $40. It has held up quite well thus far.
The fact that it is leakproof was important to me. The mug doesn’t leak when the lid is closed (and the cap is properly secured). I turned it over and nothing leaked, so hurrah for that. I’ve been drinking my morning coffee out of this mug for the past four hours, and it’s still piping hot. It is simple to clean, so there are no issues.
Simply put, the mug feels well made, especially the handle. It is a little bit heavy for a mug, but since I won’t be carrying it around, I don’t think that’s a problem. The only real worry I have is that the mug will probably dent or ding easily if you drop it since it is made entirely of metal. To reduce this, the mug’s bottom ought to have a rubber pad or something, but whatever.
Overall, I think it’s pretty good for a mug. According to some of the reviews, it appears that this could last a very long time. I’m hoping that this will be the last thermal mug I ever need.
